Information, Support & Social Events for
 Transgendered people in Ireland
.

Welcome to Sí!
An Irish Transgender organisation.

Support for wives & partners too
on our Partners page

Who are we?
We are an Irish transgender support, resource and social group operating on a non-profit, voluntary basis since our founding in 1999. We mainly provide information via our web site and support via email for Transgender (TG), Transvestite (TV), Transsexual (TS) and Cross Dressing (CD) people in Ireland.

Partners, Wives and Significant Others
We have a special section here on our web site for the wives, partners and friends of transgendered people. There is a brand new page this month (June 2006) in which TV Martha and wife Kate talk about their own personal experiences.

The Gemini Club
Sí is closely affiliated to the Gemini, which we believe to be Ireland's best and friendliest dressing service and home to Sí-promoted social events for transgendered people and friends. More details on the Gemini here (you need a Yahoo account or click The Gemini Club link above).
Announcement! The Gemini Club 10th Year Anniversary celebrations will be happening in September 2006. Keep an eye out for details!

Meet the Members!
Some of the faces behind the names who help to run Sí and some of our members. Maybe you'd like to appear here?

Our Name
Sí is a Gaelic Irish word meaning "she" and pronounced "she".

Contact us
Email us at gmail.com, the address is: transireland (or click the "Contact Us" link. (
Note: remove "ssspammm" from the address).

Links - Irish and World Wide Web
Anything online that we feel may be of use is here, both Irish web sites (shops, personal pages, mailing lists etc.). If you know of any link we could publish, or indeed would like your own page linked, why not email?
(Note: remove the word ssspammm from the email address).

Membership!
We are not currently taking membership as Sí is for the moment primarily a web and email based service, providing information and support where we can and promoting tranny friendly social events in Ireland.

This Sí web site is  hosted by our friends at TGForum.

TV Scene in Ireland
Need to find out where to buy a wig or large size shoes? Or where to socialise once you've got them? Check out the scene page to find T-friendly shops, bars, restaurants, etc. in Ireland. Note this is being updated currently (July 2006).

Accommodation
Our friends at Outhouse have recommended Nua Haven in Harold's Cross as a good place to stay for transgendered people and that Hotel Capri in Middle Abbey St is also T-friendly.

News
Gill Dalton appeared on the cover of the Irish Times newspaper on Tuesday April 4, 2006 with the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, the first time an Irish Prime Minister has ever attended a GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Transgender) event!
