New Air Travel Guidelines

  • It is strongly advised you should not try and fly while cross-dressed. Main reason is it could be considered that you are trying to conceal yourself. Most gate agents don't care that you cross-dress. Its more just a security issue. Your tickets must have the same name on your tickets as your ID. Your presentation also must match your ID.

  • Carry on baggage will be limited greatly. Briefcases, and purses are about it right now. There are of course exceptions. Passengers needing medical devices and mothers/fathers with diaper bags. But they will be searched in most cases.

  • If you do carry a brief case... Please remember it can be searched. If you have any privacy issues think about that before you put any feminine attire in your brief case. It could be considered a concealment issue again.

  • No more Sky Caps. No more drop-offs outside. Some airports may allow Sky Caps inside. But, most likely those dropping off to a Sky Cap luggage will be searched.

  • If you are carrying a laptop, CD player, Radio or cell phone. Please make sure they have batteries and are working. It can be confiscated from you if it is shown it does not work.

  • No more knives, scissors, knitting needles, box cutters, ceramic knives, razors, decorative knives, metal nail files, or letter openers will be allowed in carry on. Please pack this stuff in your luggage being checked through.

  • Please try and arrive at the airport 2 hrs for domestic flights, and 3 hrs for international flights.

  • Some airlines will be cutting food service between flights. If you need to eat please eat before arriving at the airport or bring a small snack. Drinking maybe limited. No determination on this yet.. but, looking as if they may put a 2 or 3 drink limit.

  • If you need to take a child or elderly passenger to their gate and put them on the plane.. Go to the airline and ask for permission and get a pass. Airlines will allow this on a case by case basis. If it is a child know that this was changing before this all happened. Children 8-11 may travel but only on a non-stop, or direct flight. If you need to help escort an elderly passenger or anyone with a medical needs, let the airline know when you get to the airport. If they say no, sorry. Then please ask them for assistance. They can offer a golf cart or wheel chair. That is at no extra cost.

  • If you are driving while cross dressed it may be a very good idea to get a Transgender ID. While it will not help when flying it will help more than you know with police officers.
