A Cross-Dresser's Lament
Adapted

Twas
the month after Christmas, and all through the house
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste
At the holiday parties had gone to my waist.
When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).
I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd eaten;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,
The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please."
As I struggled into drab clothes in which I must work
And prepared for the toil which I dare not shirk ---
I said to myself, as I only can
"You can't spend a winter only dressed as a man!"
So away with the last of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
'Till all the additional ounces have vanished.
I won't have a cookie--not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'm hungry, my dresses won't fit, and life is a bore---
But isn't that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!

This month, the "Aladdin" conclusion. The remaining two scenes are the first and last cross-dressing occurances in the movie. Abra-cada-BRA!
"Aladdin" (1993) - As Aladdin and Genie narrowly escape the deadly caverns on the magic carpet, we find the Genie taking care of all our travel needs! "Thank you for choosing 'Magic Carpet'. Don't stand until the rug has come to a complete stop. Thank you, Goodbye." I wonder what the Genie means when he says to come fly the friendly skies?
"Aladdin"
(1993) - I don't think this cheerleader squad is from any of the local schools!
Towards the end of the movie, we have the "good versus evil" scene with Aladdin
and Jafar fighting over possession of Genie's lamp. Here we see Genie on the sidelines
cheering for Aladdin. Hmmm... nice pom-poms!

Life Is
What Happens While We Are Making Plans
Author Unknown
We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby,
then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more
content when they are. After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with.
We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that
our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a
nicer car, are we able to go on a nice vacation, or when we retire.
The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when?
Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and
decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way.
So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure
it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time
with...and remember that time waits for no one.
So, stop waiting....
--until your car or home is paid off
--until you get a new car or home
--until your kids leave the house
--until you go back to school
--until you finish school
--until you lose 10 lbs.
--until you gain 10 lbs.
--until you get married
--until you get a divorce
--until you have kids
--until you retire
--until summer
--until spring
--until winter
--until fall
--until you die
There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not
a destination. So, work like you don't need money; love like you've never been hurt;
and dance like no one's watching.
