The Rho Tau Sorority is a support/social group for the heterosexual crossdresser and spouse. We serve the Richmond, Williamsburg, Tidewater, and Virginia Beach portions of Virginia and the northeastern portion of North Carolina.
The Rho Tau group meets monthly in the Tidewater, Virginia area. A typical get together consists of an informal reception with Hors d'oeuvres, a business meeting, a program, and social time. Programs are designed to interest all members of the group.
We encourage wives and significant others to become a part of the group. Communication between crossdressers and their wives and SOs is essential to developing an understanding of the issues facing them and their families. Wives and SO's are equal members of the group and also hold offices.
Within the group each person is available to help another member. It can be crossdressers and spouses helping other crossdressers and spouses. There are no formal therapy sessions, just helping hands along the road to personal understanding and growth.
Rho Tau furnishes books on crossdressing to libraries. We also work with local therapists and we have members who speak in college classes and involved in other outreach programs.
