	North Texas / Dallas Fort Worth Chapter of Tri-Ess

Tri-Ess is a national association of and for crossdressers, their spouses/significant others and families. The organization is focused on "affirming crossdressers and their partners and in supporting their social needs and their desire to improve themselves in the fine art of crossdressing". Its aim is to unite crossdressers in their pursuit of self-acceptance, achieving a balance between their masculine and feminine selves, and integrating their crossdressing into their lives in communion with their families.

After 18 months in the formation process, the Lambda Nu Tau chapter of Tri-Ess chapter was officially chartered in October 2002 with 15 charter members. The leader of the National Tri-Ess organization, Jane Ellen Fairfax, attended and spoke to us at the chartering ceremony at our October meeting.   Lambda Nu Tau  now operates under a defined set of bylaws and is established in accordance with Tri-Ess guidelines from a member of the Tri-Ess Board of Directors.

We have now been an official chapter for a year! We have developed an outstanding group of members in our chapter. As our membership continues to grow, we will have an even better opportunity to reach out to other crossdressers in our area.  The potential for our Tri-Ess chapter is high, and it is through the continued participation and contributions of our membership that we will reach that potential.  We strive to be responsive to the needs of the estimated thousands of crossdressers and their spouses that live in North Texas, some who may well be desperately seeking the kind of support Tri-Ess provides.

Many people have stepped forward to contribute their own unique abilities to making Lambda Nu Tau work and grow, and we will continue work to make our chapter what we want it to be.  We’ve made a great start this past year, and the future for us is very bright indeed.
