October 1999

October found everyone meeting again at EMG on Friday night.  After a  short chat with everyone we all retired for a good nights rest to start the next morning refreshed.

Saturday morning we had the usual breakfast, cooked by our dear sister, Alice.    The plans for the day was to go to Wellsboro, Pa and take a Vintage Train ride.  Some sisters had appointments in the morning at a local beauty Parlor to have there hair done.  Others had plans to visit some local friends during the day.   Everyone meet back home and left for Wellsboro to catch the Train.  One sister stayed back and just relaxed for the day.  The Train excursion went well and everyone seemed to enjoy it.  Afterward everyone returned home again to meet other sisters and go out for dinner.   We went to a nice local restaurant that we frequently visit and once again had a pleasant and delightful dinner.

Sunday morning, again a great breakfast and get ready for church.  After Church most of us went shopping at our local Fashion Bug and Payless Shoe Source.  We were going to be treated that evening to a Spaghetti supper made by a daughter of one of our sisters so some of us went grocery shopping too.   That evening we had a great dinning in.  The meal was fantastic.  Afterward 2 of our sisters had to return home and work for Monday.  The rest of us were able to stay till Monday and had the day off.  We got up early and cleaned the house, had leftovers for lunch and started to pack up for our trip home.  We all followed each other home and stopped 2 hours later at a nice restaurant in Tannersville, Pa.   After supper we said our good-byes and returned home till our next meeting.  This is always the sad part of leaving.
