This group, also known as cTView, is a social but also a support group to offer encouragement and companionship for transgendered persons , male or female, throughout Connecticut, N.Y. N.J. and the surrounding states.
Many group members, are married, professionally-employed heterosexual crossdressers who engage in this activity when circumstances allow. Others are in various stages of sexual reassignment. Still others, while not actually transgendered, are drawn to our community for personal and/or professional reasons. Regardless of motivation, sexual or gender orientation/ presentation, all members of the community are welcome to join, as we feel that each individual has something to offer.
At this time 9/06 we are searching for a volunteer who will be our Outreach Chairperson. The job requires that an occasional article be written for the newsletter giving our members some insight and support about our 'hobby'. If individuals have questions, they should be able to contact this Outreach Person and have some meaningful dialog. And lastly, about once a year we are asked by colleges or high schools to give a presentation about what TVism is. It would be best for the Outreach Chairperson to be able to fill all of these requirements, as she will represent the entire TG community, the cTView and herself. If anyone would like to volunteer, please write to any of our officers.
Unfortunately, we lost out Outreach Chairperson of many years as she moved to Florida. Possibly you can fill her shoes. Thank you.
