The connecticutT View Meeting Place
The meeting site has one central meeting room which must be 35’ x 20’, and has a living room with 4 couches, 6 chairs, plants, lamps etc. It also has a 12’ x 12’ library with computer. There is a 52" Television as well as CD/Cassette sound system. At the rear of the room is an 8’ pool table which can be converted for ping-pong. We also have tables for coffee/tea/soda/cakes/munchies.
There is a small kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, sink and storage cabinets. There are three additional meeting rooms, and 2 bathrooms, all of which can be used for dressing.
Meetings usually start around 8PM, but members may go early to dress. Meeting Hostess is Jeannette Buchanan who open and close the meeting site monthly. (She hasen't missed one meeting in 3 years.) We charge $5 per person to attend a meeting, (wives and S.O.s are free), because $3/person is payment to the center as rental, and the remaining $2 goes toward refreshments. Typically a meeting ends at 11PM and some members go to a pub or a local bar afterward.
We try to have an activity or speaker each month. October will be a Halloween Party, December is Xmas Party, gift swap and group sing. We have had a Pool Hustlers Night, a Bingo for over $100 in prizes. We have had many speakers…, and our own (Morgan Stevens and Sister Mary Elizabeth).
The meeting site is very safe, and we invite all to attend in either their DRAB (Dressed as a Boy) or femme clothing. Usually there is always someone who can assist and give tips to a novice dresser. Of course, how you dress is up to you. We do not insist that you come dressed just to attend the meeting. Please come!
