CrossPort membership is NOT a requirement for you to attend our meetings.
We want everyone with a need for support or friendship to feel welcome and
wanted! However, after joining us for a few times, you'll hopefully feel that
you'd like to help others in their Gender Quest. Our modest $30.00 membership
fee will provide you with a subscription to a monthly newsletter, the InnerView,
and also entitle you to voting and library privileges. (we maintain an extensive
library of books, periodicals, and videotapes pertaining to all gender
issues)... MOST importantly, a significant portion of your membership dollars
are channeled to help us underwrite our OutReach Programs, primarily the phone
service. As you can likely guess, Transgendered people are probably THE most
deeply closeted of all alternative lifestyle people. One of our most important
functions is to provide a means of education and outreach to those who need it.
Our CrossPort Social Meeting is held on the third Thursday of
each month. Meetings begin with dinner, followed by socializing and
informal discussion. Spouses and partners are more than welcome to attend
meetings!
Our Cross dresser's (CD/TV) Support Group meets on the first
Wednesday of each month, for more information please
email Barbara. The goal of this group is to address
issues relating to the needs of the cross dressing members of CrossPort. Every
month we will offer all or part of the meeting for open discussion. Spouses and
Significant Others (S.O.'s) are also welcome, even encouraged to attend !
